In August 2008 my pregnant wife, two toddlers and I moved to Chicago, where Sarah took the position as Chief Marketing Officer for Gatorade, the original sports performance drink. Previously, I had telecommuted to my job at Foxsoccer.com from our home in Portland, Oregon (Nov. 2004-Oct. 2006). However, given Sarah's increased workload, our impending family expansion and FoxSoccer.com's need for an on-site Product Manager, I regretfully decided to resign my position. Fox hired a full-time person to replace me, and I became a soccer dad: A full-time position in itself.
