There is nothing like being given a challenge!

Infogrames acquired all of the rights to the "dormant" Atari brand in January of 2001. Much discussion had taken place as to how Atari could be brought into the new millennium and what the appropriate use of the brand might be, but no decisions were made…..until…..

Late July a decision came down from the top that we would attempt our Atari re-invention by introducing it as a publishing brand for our best action oriented next gen console video games. This meant that we had no less than 5 weeks to take all of our brand research and turn it into a new positioning for Atari complete with new advertising and packaging for the 3 extreme sports titles that had been selected as the launch titles.

Not only did the Atari launch happen on schedule - but it achieved our #1 objective of capitalizing on the retro awareness of the brand, and creating intrigue for what may be coming in the future. The buzz is out there - we may as well be selling those T'shirts on E-bay!

As for what's coming next….my lips are sealed - but its going to be huge!
