A Limerick is a poem of five lines. Lines one, two and five rhyme and are of the same length. Lines three and four also rhyme and are usually shorter. Traditionally the Limerick has afforded the writer poetic license to be a little risque. We won't mind that.
The limerick packs laughs anatomical Into space that is quite economical. But the good ones I've seen So seldom are clean And the clean ones so seldom are comical.
A rhyme your reply should include Happy, sad or just a bit rude You'd be right to assume it's about bride or groom And failure to try might be booed
