Sarah and Liam's Wedding Map Page

We hope you can enjoy our wedding celebration without having to worry about driving.

The ceremony is at Christ's Church, the Anglican Church in Russell. Most of you will be staying in either Russell, or the larger center of Paihia. These towns are linked by a walk on ferry service, which runs approximately every 15 minutes, or a Car Ferry which takes 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

The reception will be held at the Zane Grey Restuarant, at Otehei Bay on Urapukapuka Island. This is only accessible by boat. After the ceremony, the congregation will walk to the Russell wharf, about five minutes from the church, meet a ferry which will take it to the Reception. This ferry will make at least two, and possibly three trips back from the Island dropping guests off in both Paihia and Russell.

If you are staying in Paihia, take the walk on ferry across to Russell for the ceremony. You will avoid having to drive, wait in the queue for the car ferry and find parking. If you do drive over from Paihia, you will not get back to Russell in time to make the final crossing of the car ferry that evening. The land drive from Russell to Paihia is over 55 minutes.

If everyone goes to the trouble of bringing an umbrella for the walk between the church and the wharf, you will be protected from the downpour Sarah's mother is convinced will strike the wedding in transit.
