| If you are experiencing problems with your dsl connection, please do the following before calling earth2net technical support. | |
| 1. | Locate your DSL Router. |
| 2. | Verify that power is going to the router. Check the power cord from the router to the electrical socket. Check the power light on the left side of the front panel. |
| 3. | Check that all of the other wires running in and out of the router are connected and have not been removed from either the wall jack or the router. |
| 4. | Check and Record the light status of the router. Write down the color of the lights that are lit or dark. [for example: 'management' = green, 'Ready' = red and so on.] |
| 5. | After recording the status of all of the lights on the front of the router, "Re-Boot" the router by depressing the power switch on the front left side of the router. |
| 6. | Leave the router 'OFF' for about 1 minute. |
| 7. | Power up the router by depressing the power switch on the left side of the router. |
| 8. | The router will start a 'light show' as it powers up which will take about 45 seconds. |
| 9. | When the lights stop blinking, Record the light status again. Go to your computer / workstation and check to see if your internet connection has been restored. |
| 10. | If it is running, then the "Re-Boot" worked. |
| 11. | If you are still not able to browse the Internet, call one of the tech support numbers listed above, and identify yourself by either name or company name. |
| 12. | The technician will ask you the light status of the router before and after the "Re-Boot". Please have the information ready. |
